DFW 3-Day 2009 Opening Ceremonies

November 10th, 2009 | Posted by john in General - (Comments Off on DFW 3-Day 2009 Opening Ceremonies)

Here’s the opening ceremonies from the 2009 Breast Cancer 3-Day in Dallas/Fort Worth. I have to admit that I still tear up a little bit when I watch it, especially for the husband talking about how beautiful his wife was.

The Bras are In!

November 4th, 2009 | Posted by john in General - (Comments Off on The Bras are In!)

Just got the back from the embroiderers and they turned out great. We will be wearing these on our backpacks for the entire 60 miles of the DFW 3-Day this coming weekend. We’ll have walkers sign them as we walk and then give them to the person or organization that they are for. Here’s the picture of the bras and I’ll follow it up with a list of who they are for:

The Speed Gamers.com – Raised $10,000 for the 3-Day in 2009
Elaine Conard – Survivor
Aunt Peggy – Survivor
The Sparks Family
Kalyn Fuller

The interview this week went a little long. Too long for YouTube to like, so I’ve split it up into two parts, both of which are below:

Cheer! A Video for Friends and Family of Walkers.

October 5th, 2009 | Posted by john in General - (Comments Off on Cheer! A Video for Friends and Family of Walkers.)

I wanted to take a brief break from doing interviews with Breast Cancer 3-Day walkers to make a video for the friends and family of the walkers. If you are a walker, feel free to watch, but pass it on to your friends and relatives! I will be doing a series of these, this first video in the series is about getting out and cheering for 3-Day walkers at the 3-Day.

Interviewees Needed!

August 27th, 2009 | Posted by john in General - (Comments Off on Interviewees Needed!)

I’m starting an effort to get the word out about the Breast Cancer 3-Day, help people do some fund raising, and also to get people’s stories out there about why they walk. I’m looking for people in the Austin, TX or Dallas, TX area that would be willing to do a video interview that would be posted on this site and YouTube. Basically, I want to know about your team, why you walk, how you train and how you fund raise. I’ll have the URL to your fund raising page at the end of the video so that people can hear your story and then go donate!

If you are a walker, team captain or crew for any of the 3-Day events and you’re in Dallas, Austin or one of the surrounding areas, let me know and we can set up a time to do an interview! If you’re interested in doing an interview, please fill out the form below and we will contact you!
